and Forensic Anthropology Prairie Archaeological Research Consultants (PARC) offers services related to recovery and analysis of human skeletal remains in both archaeological1 and forensic contexts.PARC's bioarchaeologist, Tina Nepstad-Thornberry, conducts skeletal analysis and provides forensic and bioarchaeological services for archaeologists, law enforcement agencies, and preservation planners. She has ten years of professional experience conducting skeletal research on prehistoric, historic, and modern skeletal assemblages from the Great Plains, the Midwest, the Southwestern United States, and the Sudan. Her work has involved a number of clients, including university researchers, government agencies, law enforcement officials, and private contracting firms. Her services include both analysis and report write-up. She also assists with project planning and has been involved in proposal preparation for numerous projects. Because of her extensive background in archaeology and skeletal biology, she is able to structure cost-effective analyses to optimize client resources. 1 In Iowa, the Burials Program at the Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist must direct the recovery and analysis of human skeletal remains from prehistoric archaeological contexts.
